Last week, I looked at PM Keir Starmer’s recent actions on the world stage through BBC articles. Tina looked at a farming life in Cumbria through the book Pastoral Song by James Rebanks.
I enjoyed The Jetty this week on BritBox. I’ll write a review of that for next week. I meant to do it for this week, but I ran out of time.
Rick and I liked the last season (just two episodes) of Vera, also on BritBox. I’m going to watch the documentary called Farewell, Pet about making the final shows and write a post in a couple of weeks.
I’m enjoying some podcasts on BBC Sounds, but I’ve been getting a warning on my app that it’s going away for listeners outside of the UK. They claim that I’ll be able to listen to the same shows using BBC.com, but there’s one podcast that I haven’t found yet. I’m hoping I figure that out before they quit providing the content to the BBC Sounds app. Someday, I’ll get around to writing about these podcasts, too.
For pure escapism, I did a search on YouTube for ‘British cruise’ and I’ve been watching videos of trips that people took in the British Isles.

I’m finishing Blue Lights season 2 tonight. It’s a Britbox production but on DVD. Set in Belfast. Also reading about Essex.
I keep getting that notice on BBC Sounds too. I visited the alternate site, but it was too confusing so I left. Hope I figure it out before they delete my Sounds.
