A Lot Like Christmas #SundaySalon
Happy Sunday! Sunday Salon is hosted by Deb at ReaderBuzz. Check out her post and the links to see what other bloggers have been up to in the last week.
How’s the weather?
We’re cold and rainy here today. A good day to stay indoors to enjoy the Christmas lights and the central heating.
What are you reading?
For the third week in a row, I’m reading A Lot Like Christmas by Connie Willis. It’s a chunkster. That’s less noticeable for e-books. According to StoryGraph, the print copy is 544 pages. The good thing about a long book is that I don’t have to figure out what I’m reading next. Libby says that I’m 94% of the way through, so I’ll be facing that decision soon enough.
What are you watching?
We watched Black Doves on Netflix which has been getting a lot of buzz, especially for the performances of Keira Knightley (Pride and Prejudice, Colette) and Ben Whishaw (Mary Poppins Returns). Rick thought it was too dark, but I got a kick out of the juxtaposition of the holiday season in London with a comically gory plot.
What are you doing?
I took a tour of London from the comfort and convenience of my desk. Jane Austen’s Christmas, a virtual tour by London Walks, was both suitably festive and a happy walk through my favorite city.
What are you up to this fine Sunday?
