Fifty years ago today, June 5, 1973, my family packed for a week-long trip to Florida. I’m going to document that trip each day, 50 years later, on my blog.
My mother kept a scrapbook and diary of the trip — which is the reason that I can reproduce it day-by-day.
When we got together for my birthday at the London Tea Room, I brought the scrapbook for my brother to look through so I could grab some of his memories, too.
Cast:

- Joy Weese, just turned 11 in May and finished 5th grade
- Dale Weese, age 9, about to turn 10 in August and finished 4th grade
