Variety Adds Minutes #ReadersWorkouts

Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
I hadn’t quite settled on my New Year’s resolution type goals last week, but I have now. As I said last week, I want to be stronger. The exercise foundation that I have to build on is that I exercise every day (my current streak goes back to July 1). Many days, that’s a walk.
So, my new addition is that I do a strength-training workout or stretching every day. That’s helped me increase my exercise minutes, too. When the walk is short due to the weather or a busy schedule, I’ll choose a longer workout DVD.
I’m currently ahead of schedule to exercise 1200 minutes in January. And, so far, I’m meeting my goal to add strength-training or stretching to my routine every day.
How is your exercise going so far in the New Year?
I’ve been having trouble fitting any exercise in. I think after this week, this should get a little closer to normal.
Yea, your ahead of schedule! That’s great!
Good job! I haven’t done any Reader’s Workout blog posts, but I DO think about it and it often gets me to the Y when I might otherwise not go! I haven’t gotten to every day, but at least 6 days a week, I would say. At least before the holidays hit! I’m getting back on track this month, and even went to the Y before work yesterday, which is a big step for me!
