Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
I met all my goals for November on the last day of the month. My most memorable workout was dancing and marching in my living room with the performers of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I’m also pleased that I didn’t miss a single day of exercise in November. It’s always so helpful for me to have a daily streak of exercise going. Thirty days in a row — surely, I can make it thirty-one days today.
Here’s how I ended my month:
- 1205 of 1200 minutes
- 24 of 24 days with 8000 steps or more
- 8 of 8 strength-training sessions
Since that worked so well, I’m aiming for the same goals next month.

I’ve been trying to decide what my goals are. Right now I think it’s all about getting a routine going.
Great job Joy!
I had a great week finally, I really had no choice but to do a lot of walking and stairs.
Great job on meeting your goals!!
Great job exercising for an entire month, with no end in sight! I wish I could say I got 8,000 steps a day…I need to do a better job!
