Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
I had some trouble last week, with a return to winter weather, and fell behind on some of my goals. But, spring returned over the weekend and I got my first heavy duty day of gardening in yesterday with lots of raking, shoveling, pulling, and hauling along with many steps. That was enough to push me over all of my March goals with a day to spare — 8 strength training sessions, 21 days of more than 8000 steps, and over 1300 minutes (and still counting…).
Since I pulled that off, I’m setting the same goals for April. One fewer day in the month will mean I have to work a touch harder to get those goals met.
How was your March? What are your plans for April?
I’m noticing that we had the same weather, haha, it’s curious.
You had a very good month.
This week I’m just trying to survive because we changed the hour last Saturday and I can’t get up on time in order to go to run. Besides, at the hour I usually go, now it’s still dark, so I don’t know what to do for the next couple of weeks.
I hate when we have to change the time
Don’t you just love getting out the garden after a long winter? That’s true exercise getting one prepared for planting!
I wish I could have a garden. Maybe I could make a raised one.
Sounds like you’re doing great!
March was an okay month. I didn’t walk as much as I wanted to. In April, I plan on walking a mile every day. That’s totally doable.
I haven’t started the gardening yet. It’s going to be a big job.
