Readers’ Workouts — August 26
Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
A heat wave sapped my enthusiasm for exercise, but I can’t complain too much since it’s the first of our summer. I still managed a little something every day, but I’m not on track for my goal of 1400 minutes this month, but I might still make it — especially if it cools off a bit.
How are you doing with your exercise?

Hi Joy!
Sorry to hear about the heat wave; I also hate when it’s too hot.
This week I keep on running, but next week I have exams, so I’m not doing much and I’m not working out very hard… Only my mind is working hard, you know
Good luck on your exams! Don’t forget that walking is good for stress and to keep the mind sharp.
Still on track for 70,000 steps a week. Went hiking in NH last week and I had a 22,000 step day. Good thing, too – we had a huge breakfast that day.
22,000 steps is a huge day! Way to go!
We’re getting a little hot weather this week, and I’m happy. I’ve been a bit disappointed with the cool summer.
Glad to see the streak is still going, despite the humidity! I had a rough training week for my half marathon…missed a couple of running days, but I’m keeping my head up so I can redeem myself this week! I went to a Fit Retreat on Saturday and it was an insane workout!
