Walking Away Stress #ReadersWorkouts
Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
I’m still a little behind my goal, but catching up fast. Walking has become my go-to activity when the news raises my stress levels too high. I listen to British radio dramas saved as podcasts. The different dialects and far-away concerns take me elsewhere for a little while.
What exercise works best for you when the goal is stress relief?

It seems like a lot of people like to listen to podcasts while walking or running, I’ve never tried it. My favorite workout to deal with stress is definitely yoga! I haven’t practiced in weeks, and I definitely feel the difference!
I like walking for stress.
I don’t think I really use any exercise as stress relief. I’d be more likely to play the piano or just veg on the couch.
I listen to podcasts or audiobooks while walking. When I’m stressed and can’t exercise I take up my loom work. (http://instagram.com/p/mNmQatlCSN)
My all-time favorite exercise when the goal is stress relief is walking! I even wrote a book about walking for stress relief.
I walk every day ( weather permitting), early in the mornings. There simply is no better way to start the day for me. There’s something soothing about the fresh breeze in my face, birds chirping, and the welcoming sunrise that resets my stress buttons every day.
