Readers’ Workouts — April 1
Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
I wasn’t fooling around with my March goal — I smashed it by more than an hour. April Fool’s Day seems like a good time to set the same goal for this month, even though it’s a day shorter — 1500 minutes. I hit another milestone last week, 250 days in a row of exercise.
How did your exercise go last month? What are you planning for April?
Talk about your fitness activities on your blog (feel free to grab the logo) and link to your post below or join us in the comments! Be sure to visit the other participants to see how we all did.
I did my first yoga class yesterday, one of the guys is a certified yoga instructor and taught about 6 of us over lunchtime. Now I ache in places I didn’t know I had places! I guess that means I have muscle groups to work on.
My karate instructor said I did great in sparring class last night, and he’s not one to hand out praise lightly.
Did yoga help the karate?
Not sure, but my feet were warm all afternoon, and that’s unusual for me.
I’m looking into yoga classes at the gym by me.
Congratulations on smashing your goal! I know how good it feels to surpass a large goal that you thought you wouldn’t and I hope you do the same in April. I already used the linky, but this is my post my post
Glad to have you join us!
I’m also doing it very well, Joy!
I finally got my running routine stablished and I go running twice a week. Today I went despite the fact that it was raining
In April I want to keep on going and improve my marks a little.
You know you’re committed to exercise when the weather won’t stop you!
Sounds like you’re doing great!
I went to the gym twice over the weekend. I tried the arc trainer thing which takes more coordination than it looked like I had to hold on or I was totally going to fall off. I think I just need more practice. And I signed up for a 5K on April 19, but it’s finally warm enough to run outside, so I’m happy.
I tried an arc trainer at the gym and found it similarly unnerving. Good workout, though! Signing up for a 5K is a great way to get the running season off to a good start.
Great job on smashing your March goal! And I love the idea of a Readers Workout! I signed up for MyFitness.com and my goal is to track my food and exercise every day. Hoping that by staying accountable I’ll be able to get back on track!
Good for you! A site like MyFitness.com can be very motivating!
