Editorial Calendar — Getting Organized during Bloggiesta
The current Bloggiesta Twitter chat is on organization and I just worked through the Bloggiesta mini-challenge called Organization and Productivity at Read Sleep Repeat. So, I thought I’d share a photo of one of my favorite blogging organizational tools, an Editorial Calendar.
This is both high-tech and low-tech. Obviously, I’m using it on paper, but I print it from the Printable Calendar Templates site which lets you pick your format and what months you want to print. I start with the memes I sometimes participate in and let other things gather around them. I wasn’t as complete in March as I sometimes am, but I have Bloggiesta to give me a good start on April!
What are your favorite tools for keeping organized on your blog?
I would really like to start using evernote to get more organized. I think I might actually try that tomorrow. Get more familiar with it.
I use Evernote which has really worked out well so far.
I read through the list of blogiesta tips and tricks and I had recently done most of the things. The few I hadn’t done were things I wasn’t inclined to do anyway. But I do love the idea of it. As for old school meeting new school, I was just blogging about my plans to switch to a new organizing method that’s all pen and paper. I have tried the apps/online tools and they aren’t a good fit for me. This year, I’m going to keep trying things in hopes of finding something that works for me because too many things are slipping through the proverbial cracks.
I use an agenda/diary for blog stuff, but I have times I use it every day and other times I barely look at it.
I use a paper calendar too to keep up with blogging. Now that I’m reading this post, I’m reminded that I need to start planning April’s posts.
I use a calendar printed.
There are some months where I’m really good about using a calendar, and some months where I just blog by the seat of my pants. I can never stick with just one strategy for too long.
I do the same thing. I have an iPad and I use pencil and paper to create a blog calendar.
