Readers’ Workouts — March 18
Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
My exercise is still going well and I’m on track to meet my goal of 1500 minutes in March. All other elements of my healthy lifestyle fell apart for a few days in an allergy-induced malaise, but I pulled it back together again. I discovered that my body really doesn’t like junk food anymore — that’s a motivating bit of information and an excellent reason to stick with my cabbage salads.
Talk about your fitness activities on your blog (feel free to grab the logo) and link to your post below or join us in the comments! Be sure to visit the other participants to see how we all did.
Good for you getting back on track! I know what you mean about junk food. One night last week we decided to get McD’s because it was so late nothing else was open and it just about made me sick. Couldn’t finish any of my food! Gross!!
I don’t know if the body can ever handle junk food. Maybe it’s just as we get older we feel things more than we do when we’re younger and feel eternal. Or maybe it’s that, as we take care of our bodies, we really start listening to what the body says, how it feels, and we recognize what is good and what is maybe not so good.
This meme is helping to remind me to find the time to actually squeeze in more exercise and it has me looking around for physical activities I can add to my week. I will see how it goes, when you say publically you are going to do something it makes it harder to just opt out, so thank you for that. Reader’s workouts is a great idea.
I don’t post much about exercise or healthy eating on my blog, so I hope it’s okay to join in on the comments. It’s almost spring. I actually ran three miles yesterday. And the new gym in town which I joined is now open. I just have to work up the guts to walk in the door.
Joining in via the comments is great! A three-mile run is terrific — I’ll bet there are lots of people walking in the door of your gym who never ran three miles!
Congrats on working hard toward your goals! That’s awesome
