Sunday Salon — February 16
Time: // 9:40 am.
The scene: // I fell on the ice yesterday, so I’ll be glad to see all of this melt away. I thought it was going to be today, but it looks like it may be tomorrow that we see 40 degrees for the first time in weeks. I’m crediting #ReadersWorkouts with limited effects from my fall – being in shape and relatively limber helps. It also helped that I wasn’t willing to skip my workout yesterday (my 211th day in a row of exercise), so I did a bunch of stretching and I’m just a little achy this morning with no stiffness.
Listening to: // The English Baroque playlist compiled by Spotify user Michael Doe –it fits with my current reading.
Reading: // Newton by Peter Ackroyd, The Clockwork Universe by Edward Dolnick, and Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson – all about the scientists working in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. I’ve also started reading the DK Eyewitness Travel book, Great Britain, so I can plan sites to see related to the people and activities of that time period.
Blogging about: // Finally finishing my set-up of Google authorship using new Follow Buttons. Do the purple buttons in my sidebar look good to you? I’m always nervous about mucking around in my blog dashboard using html.
Participating in // A book discussion of The Memoir Project by Marion Roach Smith. It’s a short book so you have plenty of time to read it before our live Twitter chat, virtual book club, on February 28.
What are you up to this fine Sunday?
