Sunday Salon — December 1
Time: // 8:47 am
The scene: // Bright and a bit warmer for our Thanksgiving weekend. We had the perfect day to wander about town on Small Business Saturday.
Listening to: // Classical Christmas Choral on Accuradio.
Reading: // I’m about to finish Provence, 1970 by Luke Barr, which I loved. I’ve started The Signature of All Things by Elizabeth Gilbert and I’m really enjoying that, too.
Blogging about: //
- We had a terrific time chatting about books all day, transforming #BlackFriday to #BookFriday.
- I shared a memory of roasting my first roast turkey — a week after my mother’s episode of congestive heart failure.
Participating in: // Nonfiction November, hosted by Kim of Sophisticated Dorkiness and Lu of Regular Rumination, was so fun! The theme for Week 4 was “Name one book you learned about through other posts” during Nonfiction November. I had lots, but wrote about The Secret Lives of Codebreakers by Sinclair McKay.
I also posted one last nonfiction book review: A Paris Notebook by C.W. Gusewelle.
Looking forward to: // Hosting my first Twitter interview on Wednesday evening at #WSchat, hosted by Wordsmith Studio. Join us at 9PM Eastern / 8 Central / 7 Mountain / 6 Pacific / 5 Alaskan / 4 Hawaiian. The rest of the world is welcome, too. I just learned a lot about US Time Zones for our #BookFriday on #BlackFriday Twitter chats.
I’ll be interviewing Jane Ann McLachlan who writes prodigiously in a variety of genres. If you ever wondered how authors juggle many projects, this will be the perfect opportunity to find out.
What are you up to this fine Sunday?
A busy week! Thanks for sharing…and I’m off to check out some of your links.
Here’s MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
I am going to have to go through all The Non-fiction November posts. I really enjoy non-fiction and would love some more recommendations. Unfortunately I wasn’t really around much for the actual event. It would be fun!
Another good bit on The Signature of All Things, something tells me that I’m going to have to bite the bullet and read it after all! Totally agree on Non-Fiction November, it was a wonderful event.
The Signature of All Things is a book I’d also like to read sometime as I’ve read good things about it.
I look forward to your thoughts on Elizabeth Gilbert’s new book. From what I’ve heard it’s good. Enjoy.
