October Memoir Challenge, 2013
Last year, I participated in the first October Memoir and Backstory Challenge hosted by Jane Ann McLachlan. I posted one piece for each of my 25 years. Here was the whole list: Table of Contents — October Memoir Challenge.
That was a big project. Jane Ann has scaled it back slightly this year with the suggestion that we post only on the odd-numbered days of October. She also introduced weekly themes. I love themes.
Join us next month. Check out Jane Ann’s posts for how this will all work including how to use it as a way to build backstory for your NaNoWriMo project rather than write real-life memoir pieces. The details are here: October Memoir and Backstory Challenge.
Thanks for sharing this, Joy. I signed up! Look forward to reading your memoir posts.
Thanks for posting this Joy. I’ll be joining you and all the others in this October Challenge. I look forward to all the stories…!
