Sunday Salon, September 8
Time: // 8:50 am
The scene: // It’s raining! We started watering our trees last week because it’s been so long since it rained. The corn crop in Missouri will be very happy as well.
Listening to: // My Good Morning playlist on Spotify — Morning Morgantown by Joni Mitchell. (My playlist resource: Book Review: Your Playlist Can Change Your Life.)
Currently reading: // Sometimes a Rogue by Mary Jo Putney. Putney has been my favorite romance author for something like 20 years now. I read less romance than I used to, but I never miss one of her books.
Blogging about: // How Children Succeed by Paul Tough, the Read Along book for the Back to School Reading Challenge. Here’s last week’s discussion post: How Children Succeed by Paul Tough — A Back to School Read Along, September 4. I finished the book yesterday, but I’ll keep putting up discussion posts on Wednesdays through September. I highly recommend it if you have any interest in improving the country or the world, since children are such a good starting place.
Participating in: // The Back to School Reading Challenge (Join us! We’re reading to learn new things through September).
Experimenting with: // Google+. I have Guy Kawasaki’s book What the Plus! but I’m still not sure I’m getting it. If you’re on Google+, please help me out: Joy Weese Moll.
What are you up to this fine Sunday?
