Crystal Bridges
This was our second visit to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. We were so enchanted by the architecture on the first trip, that we spent most of our time on the grounds and never looked at the collection. This trip was to take some photos and finally look at the art. The art was great, but I didn’t try to photograph that, so here are my Saturday Snapshots of the museum.
Photos don’t do justice to the architecture. I looked at photos in magazines before we went and they really give you no idea what it’s like to be there, so I’m not going to feel bad that my photos have the same problem.
There are more photos of Crystal Bridges and our Arkansas trip on Flickr: Joy’s Photostream.

Fabulous! Thanks for sharing….and it sounds like a wonderful trip.
Here’s MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
Thanks for sharing. We are stuck in Wyoming and don’t get to travel much anymore. It is great to see all the pictures of everyone else’s travels. We have lovely destinations in our area. Come visit Wyoming and Western So Dakota!. My Post is Here
How neat! I’d love to visit there some day! My brother lives in Arkansas, so maybe…
Here’s My SS
What an interesting building. Wonder who the architect is. You’re right about photos don’t do justice to the piece. Nothing beats seeing architecture first hand in real life. Thanks for sharing!
Oops, should have mentioned that. The architect is Moshe Safdie. He also built the new Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City. That’s another very interesting building, but completely different.
What an interesting building! Have a great day!
Wow, the building itself is a work of art!
Looks like quite a unique place!
A very creative looking building. I think I’d need an aerial view to get the full effect.
I love the curves and movement of the building. I’ve always wanted to live in a house with some rooms in the round…this looks very inspiring.
I can see why the architecture captivated you!
I followed down and found the wedding pictures. Brought tears of joy to my eyes. I must try to copy the one of Andrew and Lauren. Thanks for posting them. And again, congratulations. Didn’t remember how many years = just the date.

Bear With Me…You still came away with some interesting shots♫♪
That is some phenomenal architecture in such a lovely setting.
Your pictures make me wish I was there for a tour of the place as well, and like you — I may have spent most of my time outside, looking at the buildings. I am a huge fan of non-conventional architecture.
What an intriguing looking place.
