It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
The most important post I wrote recently was yesterday’s Why I Vote. If you’re a woman, go read it and go vote! If you’re a guy, there are a bunch of other posts in the Why I Vote event that will encourage you to vote, too. See them at Chasing Ray, Why I Vote Round-Up.
I completed the October Memoir Challenge and pulled together an index post so you can see if you missed any entries: Table of Contents — October Memoir Challenge. That challenge had some unexpected results that I wrote about in a final post: Wrap Up — October Memoir Challenge.
The trip to Arkansas was planned on Pinterest, so I was able to complete the Pin It and Do It Challenge that Trish hosts at Love, Laughter, and a Touch of Insanity: Pin It and Do It Challenge — Wrap Up. I’m going to post photos from the Arkansas trip with the Saturday Snapshot meme hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books. The first installment included pictures from our first of two visits to the new Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art where we focused on the grounds and landscaping: Crystal Bridges, Visit 1.
I didn’t manage a Monday post the last two weeks when I was out of town. It seems like I should have more to report about my reading, but I’ve been looking through books about social media — not really reading them from cover to cover, so not that much to report there.
I did manage to write one book review in the past week, for Weekend Cooking: Book Review: The Amazing Adventures of Dietgirl by Shauna Reid.
Read
I finished Stonehenge: 2000 B.C. — A Novel by Bernard Cornwell.
Reading
I haven’t found the next book yet.
Will Read
I’m looking through a stack of books from the library that cover the Roman Britain era of history now that I read about Stonehenge. Although I also just got A History of Ancient Britain by Neil Oliver where Roman Britain is the last chapter. So, I may read that alongside one of these two novels: The Forest House by Marion Zimmer Bradley or Caveat Emptor by Ruth Downie. Have you read either of those?
It’s Monday! What Are Your Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila of Book Journey. Be sure to check out her post today to see her selections and the list of links to all the other participating bloggers.
