It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
It’s been three weeks since I wrote a Monday post. What have I been doing? Watching the Olympics, staying on track to write 50,000 words for Camp NaNoWriMo, and a bunch of other stuff. A little reading, but not much.
Read
I finished The Color of Tea by Hannah Tunnicliffe. I’ll try to get a review up this week. I also want to write about The Good Food Revolution by Will Allen which I really enjoyed.
Reading
My evening book is killing rage by bell hooks. We’ll be discussing that at our book club meeting on Thursday night so I need to get that done fairly quickly.
My lunchtime book is The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. Very interesting and a quick read.
The ebook on my phone is Written in the Ashes by K. Hollan VanZandt — I’m on the blog tour for that in September.
Will Read
Next up, when I finish killing rage is…I’m not sure. I’ve got a huge stack, but none look right at the moment. I want something purely for fun, so I may grab a paperback somewhere.
It’s Monday! What Are Your Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila of Book Journey. Be sure to check out her post today to see her selections and the list of links to all the other participating bloggers.
I like that you have different books for different times, places, and moods. I do, too. Glad to connect with your reading list.
I love the cover of The Color of Tea. Every week you have me looking forward to reading your foodie reviews!
Enjoy your week.
How far are you into NaNoWriMo? I am back on track with my work and can’t find any progress reports from you. Just curious!
Right on track! I got to 32,295 words today. Thanks for asking!
I just finished “Little Bee” and am now reading “Paper Towns” by John Green, as I need to increase my time in YA. Help, can you explain the “meme”?! I need to connect with more book bloggers, and this sounds perfect!
I put this on your blog, but just in case someone else wants to know about the It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? meme, I’ll post it here:
The Monday reading meme is hosted at Book Journey each week: http://bookjourney.wordpress.com/. Down at the bottom of the post is a Click Here to get to the link list where you add your own post of what you’re reading and can click on other blogs to comment on their reading lists. She often has over a hundred participants which is a bit overwhelming for real relationship-building but good for quick access to the book blogging community.
I’m reading The Fear: Robert Mugabe and the Martyrdom of Zimbabwe by Peter Godwin.
Page after page of unending misery. A great, tough, book.
Those book covers are gorgeous – they set the bar high so now your next book has to have a beautiful cover
I know. I don’t pay much attention to book covers until I write my Monday posts and then, all of a sudden, the attractiveness of the cover is paramount for which images I include.
I just bought Color of Tea – VERY excited to read it. What did you think??

Have a great reading week
Hi Joy,
I’m getting my Pratchett on! Re-read Guards, Guards and now am re-reading Men at Arms. It’s like revisiting and old friend and great for relaxation.
