The Black History Month Blog Hop Giveaway finished yesterday. My contribution to this fun event was a gently used paperback of The Hemingses of Monticello by Annette Gordon-Reed. Here was my post giveaway post: Black History Month Giveaway Hop.

Time to announce my winner: Alex W! I “met” Alex through this giveaway, which is one of the fun aspects of participating in giveaway blog hops. Alex writes the book (and life) blog Is it Amazing? You can kind of tell from the title how much fun she is!

Also, I get to announce that I was a winner in this hop! I had notification this morning from Eugenia O’Neal of Eugenia Writes! that I won her giveaway, a copy of her novel Dido’s Prize. There’s a video on her announcement, Black History Month Blog Hop Giveaway Winner, of her daughter drawing out my name! Great music in the background and it just made my day to hear “Joy is the winner!”
