Read
The blog was pretty quiet last week, but I managed one book review and I caught up on the 23 Things for Professional Development program:
I also finished The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott by Kelly O’Connor McNees. I liked it and will have more to say later in the week.
Reading
Right now, I’m reading Treachery in Death by J.D. Robb for my fun book. At the lunch table, I’m tackling the massive What to Eat by Marion Nestle, which is not near as intimidating as it first appears. I forget, because it’s an e-book, but I’ve also been working my way through Writing Life Stories by Bill Roorbach, an excellent introduction to memoir and personal essay.
Will Read
I’ll probably read The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong next, slipping in another fun book before I need to get going on the next book club section. I also plan to read some pieces in The Art of the Personal Essay, edited by Phillip Lopate.
