Read
I posted reviews for three books last week (all finished during the 48 Hour Book Challenge last weekend):
- Book Review: The Little Women Letters by Gabrielle Donnelly
- Book Review: Savvy Auntie by Melanie Notkin
- Book Review: Simple Italian Sandwiches by Jennifer and Jason Denton
I still have a backlog of books to review from that weekend! I also completed this week Skipping a Beat by Sarah Pekkanen, which I enjoyed but don’t know that I have much to say about, so I don’t know if I will be writing up a review.
Reading
I’ve just started re-reading The Other Wes Moore by Wes Moore. As I wrote in my Booking Through Thursday post (BTT: Own or Borrow?), I don’t re-read books very often, but this is a special case. I’ll be leading a book discussion at the library on it next week for our book club in Kirkwood that focuses on books about race in America. I read it last fall when I picked this book for the month that I would lead the discussion. Now, I need to read it again so it’s fresh in my mind. Have you read this book? What topics would you want discussed in a book group meeting about it?
Will Read
Next on the TBR stack is The Unexpected Circumnavigation by Christi Grab which I’m reading as part of my participation in the From Left to Write Book Club. I’m still new to this, so not fully understanding what it’s all about, but it’s on-line and includes a friendly bunch of people so I’m enjoying it so far and want to do my bit.
Sorry to hear about your problems commenting. Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a great week!

I admire anyone who has the stamina for a read-a-thon.
I celebrated 24 years of keeping a book diary. The flu kept me from reading at my usually insane pace but I did finish some books. Come see what they were.
I read The Other Wes Moore last fall also. Excellent young man. I checked out the online book club you mentioned. It looks like they read lots of interesting books. Happy Reading this week, Joy.
