Dewey’s Read-a-Thon Update 2
I’m back! It was a lovely day for a walk and the Farmers Market!
I worked on the Challenges, put myself on the map for Hour 2 and contributed to the collaborative story for Hour 3. I’m not feeling clever enough for the Book Puzzle Challenge from Hour 4 at the moment, but maybe something will come to me later.
The Hour 4 post asks about our reading companions. I’m reading with my husband Rick today who was quite excited to have an excuse to read all day. He said, “I can participate just by being lazy!”
What I’m reading: I finished reading Sisters Against Slavery: A Story about Sarah and Angelina Grimke by Stephanie Sammartino McPherson. What an amazing story! It’s not only about abolition, but also about race and women’s equality. All the more astounding considering that much of the action takes place in the 1830 and 1840s.
Next up, I’ll work on a book I started awhile but haven’t finished: Tribes by Seth Godin
