Booking Through Thursday
Today’s Booking Through Thursday question is:
What’s the most romantic book you’ve ever read?
(Mind you, I don’t mean the hard-core stuff you hide in plain wrappers under your mattress. I mean True Love, Romance, deeply emotional, heart-tugging, and all that stuff.)
And, secondly, did you like it? Is it your usual kind of reading, or did it take you by surprise?
I read romances. Lots and lots of romances. I don’t hide anything under my mattress, so I reckon that all of those love stories qualify for this question. But that makes it a really hard question to answer.
After considering a number of modern and classical stories, fiction and nonfiction, I’m going for one of those many romance novels. After all, love is their specialty!
My choice is River of Fire by Mary Jo Putney (Goodreads link) which is not only about a romance that improves the lives of two troubled characters, but also about how the love of a creative pursuit, in this case painting, can be a shared salvation.

This was actually a difficult question for me. I just couldn’t choose one. Check out my answer for this week’s Booking Through Thursday.

Thanks for stopping by, WOW what a great question. I’m stumped for the moment. I’ve not heard of your author/book, but I hope someday, someone will say my romance novel is the best they’ve ever read. Until then…
I can’t believe it! my library doesn’t have a copy!
(We used to have it, but it went missing and was never replaced.)
