Readers’ Workouts — October 21

banner designed by Isi
Welcome to Readers’ Workouts, the weekly event where book lovers share workout stories, goals, successes, and challenges.
Check out our new banner, courtesy of Isi. She and her sister posed in the exercise while reading positions. Isn’t it great?
I set a goal last week, 40 minutes a day for the rest of the month. I made my goal most days. Saturday was a long and busy one, so I only managed 20 minutes, but I’ve already started making up that time.
How are you doing with exercise?

Well, last week I parcipated in my first race!

It was an event created in order to raise money to fight against breast cancer and only women could participate; it was only 5K and you could go walking, running or both, and I went running, of course!
We ran on the streets of my hometown, and it was fun because my boyfriend went to cheer me in several points of the race – he went with his bicycle
And well, yesterday my sister and I did some stretching for the photo too
That sounds like a fantastic first race experience! Go, you!
40 minutes every day is a great mark, Joy!
40 minutes a day is great.
I love the new banner, too. I’ll be back later to link my post – hopefully.
Love the new banner, adorable. Like everyone else is saying, 40 minutes a day is a good goal. Sadly we have to do more as we age… doesn’t this seem unfair?!
I logged 65 miles on my fitbit last week!
No post for this week but I’ll have one next week. This weekend I’m doing Spooky Tails & Trails 2 mile pet walk. If they didn’t have a pet walk option I would have walked the 5K.
I practiced a few times and I’m good with walking both dogs and the stroller and then walking one dog while they other sits in the stroller. Love my Ellie, but her little pudgy body just isn’t made for long walks.
A pet walk is such a great idea. Have fun!
