Happy Sunday!
Time: // 8:30 am
The scene: // at my desk looking out at a cloudy day in the coolest August I can remember. Like most mornings in the last couple of weeks, I put on a fuzzy hoodie over my tee shirt because the mornings are cold.
Celebrating: // my brother’s 50th birthday today! We’re going to Gulf Shores Restaurant and Grill. I’m looking forward to seared Cajun tuna over a salad. It comes with a sweet corn muffin — I know from experience that it’s really sweet, so I’ll call it dessert.
Listening to: // My Good Morning playlist on Spotify — I’m up to Morning Has Broken by Cat Stevens. For those of you intrigued by my playlist last week, you might like this book: Book Review: Your Playlist Can Change Your Life. It really did change my life!
Currently reading: // The Whole Fromage by Kathe Lison for the From Left To Write Book Club. We’re supposed to post this week. I need to read faster.
Blogging about: // I’ve drafted a starting post for this fun event and will put it up later in the week: Wanted: Bloggers to #LiveLikeJulia For One Week and Write About It. It’s part of the promotion for Julia Child Rules by Karen Karbo coming out on October 1st. I read the e-ARC and really liked it. You can participate in her event even if you don’t have the book — she’ll send you a chapter!

Cajun Tuna sounds delish! ANd that Julia CHild event does sound like a whole lot of fun.
I’ve never had Cajun Tuna. It sounds really good so I’m going to find a recipe and make some.
Music used to be a large part of my life…. before kids. But lately I have wanted to reconnect with that side of my prior life and I think “Your Playlist Can Change Your Life” may be a great way to begin. I just put it on hold at my local library — thank you for the recommendation!
