Villandry, France
According to our guide, Henri Carvallo, the owner of Villandry, this is the last of the great chateaus built during the Renaissance period in the Loire Valley. This impressive chateau and its gardens are currently supported entirely by visitors’ fees. Here is the English version of the website: Chateau and gardens of Villandry.
There are more photos of Villandry and the rest of the France photos that I’ve processed so far on my Flickr page: Joy’s Photostream. I’ll have more photos from Villandry on Saturday for Weekend Cooking, particularly of the potager.
Today, look at more photos around the web at Wordless Wednesday.
I loved scrolling down through your blog this morning and seeing all of your gorgeous pictures from France. I’ve only been to Paris before but would love to explore the country with more time one day. Looks like you had an amazing time!
Lovely pictures Joy, I’m in Paris at the moment, but not really getting out to enjoy the French countryside this trip- too much amazement to be had in Paris.
