Wordless Wednesday — Rainy Day in Ireland
These photos are from the one day of our vacation that was really impacted by rain. Apparently that’s quite lucky for a trip to Ireland. After all, rain is what creates the forty shades of green that have been showing up in my photos.
We spent the morning at Bunratty Folk Park, a living museum of homes and other buildings typical of 19th century Ireland. Even the donkey looked a bit forlorn in the rain.
Later, we were to see the garden at Glin Castle. A bit wet for a garden tour, but we made an effort. Fortunately, the best meal of our entire trip was at Glin Castle which made up for a rainy day. I wrote about that meal here: Eating in Ireland.

There are a handful of photos from this rainy day (it wasn’t the best for photography) on Flickr and lots more from earlier days of our trip: Joy’s Photostream.
See Wordless Wednesday for more pictures on the web today.
I always think mules and donkeys need hugs. They aren’t very happy about getting hugs but I do it anyway.
Looks beautiful even with the rain! Great shots. Love that donkey.
That donkey is adorable!
I love the photo through the window. The dark sky, the fence, the window frame, the drops of rain on the window, all evoke the kind of day it must have been. Great photo!

Ireland is my dream place because i have heard so much about this place, about its culture, about its eye pleasing views and luxurious hotels and now about a beautiful rainy day of Ireland and now as soon as possible i also want to go there.
