How was last week? What are your exercise plans for the week ahead?
Post on your own blog — grab the logo, if you want — and add the link to the list below. Or, report in the comments.
At 1325 minutes of exercise in May, I’m in good shape to meet my goal of 1400 minutes. My other goal was to do 15 workouts that involve strength training. I’m on track for that, too. That is, if I count yesterday when my strength training involved using the fence posts as a barre for leg lifts while I watered my kitchen garden. That was the only way I could squeeze it in. But, hey, I feel it so I know there was muscle development going on. That should count, right?
Good morning Joy – I know… shock. I am participating. I need too.. and you will see why on my post
Hi Joy,
I linked it to my Mamaw’s Homeplace blog. I’m currently working on remodeling there and one of the features I plan to incorporate is a senior health category. I think this will fit nicely.
I am currently trying to walk a mile a day somewhere. I don’t always make it but, on those days, I try to substitute some Yoga or strength training of some sort. I am a firm believer in the idea that any sort of active movement counts as exercise.
Unfortunately, sooner or later “God laughs” and life interferes with my “plans” throwing me off track. Hopefully, being part of your group will pull me back to it when that happens.
Glad to have you! I think the key to good health is getting back on track after the inevitable derailment. A group to report progress, setbacks, and re-commitment is so helpful in those moments.
Is it Tuesday already? Thanks for the twitter reminder to check in, Joy.
Last week I only clocked in 281 minutes of exercise. I needed more days off than usual last week.. 90% of the time I just can’t exercise the first day of my period. So crampy! I’m 43 years old–you’d think after 30+ years of this, I’d be able to function through. Nope. Crampy, weepy, wimpy every lunar month. Boo.
This week is off to a spectacular start though.. Yesterday I biked just under 60 miles with my cycling partner in just under 4 hours, so I’ve already got 236 minutes to my name! Yay!
Happy exercising this week, ladies! End the month strong!

Great job in keeping up on your goal! You’re so close and I’m sure you’ll be able to do those last 75 minutes by Friday!
I did get those exercise DVDs I ordered last week – but so far haven’t done anything other than open the box …
Still walking a fine line between recovering from injury and getting moving again. I try to do something everyday. But would like to build up to a morning run (2mi) like I did every morning 30 years ago. First goal is to get a set schedule for the walk/run to make it a habit. My current job makes that difficult to predict.
Hi Joy,
Thanks for the push I needed to restart my exercise program. I really love how I feel when I exercise daily, but it is so easy to fall into bad habits. Might as well start again!! How do I get your logo on to my post? I couldn’t figure it out.
Right click on the picture and select Save Image As…. Save it to your desk top or somewhere. Then load it on to your blog just like any other picture.
Thanks ,Joy. It worked!
It’s been hot in England. There isn’t a cloud in the sky which has been strange. I hate this kind of weather, it is way too hot for me so the fact I am out there running around at all is a completely bizarre act. I hear the weather is on the turn though… just in time for the Royal Jubilee celebrations!
Well done to you – only 75 more minutes. You can squash that into one day and take the next few off!
Last week went really well. So has this week, now that I’m thinking about it. I’ve been doing a lot of riding on my bike. I’m not getting tired as easily as I used to plus I see some definition in my legs.
