It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?
Last Monday, we were driving home from our trip to Kansas City, so I didn’t write a Monday post. Let’s see if I can piece together what I read the last two weeks.
Read
I wrote posts for two very different diet books. In fact, the second one really doesn’t fit in the category at all:
- Book Review: YOU on a Diet by Michael Roizen and Mehmet Oz
- Book Review: The Philosopher’s Diet by Richard Watson
I finished Instant Recess by Toni Yancey and Dido’s Prize by Eugenia O’Neal, but still need to write reviews for those since I enjoyed them both.
Reading
I’m continuing to read James Joyce’s Dubliners. It’s been good for three Wondrous Words Wednesday posts: gnomon, simony, and one post with sedulously and escaladed. I think I may get one more out of it.
I haven’t fully committed to a book called Do I Look Fat in This? by Rhonda Britten. I’m interested in the topic of body image, but I’m not sure if this is the book for me. It looks good but may not explore the subject in quite the way that I want to look at it.
Will Read
I have some other body image books from the library to consider (and I’m open to suggestions from any one who has a recommendation on the topic).
The next on my stack of Irish literature books is At War by Flann O’Brien, edited by John Wyse Jackson. It’s a collection of newspaper columns written during World War II. I have a dentist appointment this morning, so I may start it then because it’s small enough to tuck in my purse.
It’s Monday! What Are Your Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila of Book Journey. Be sure to check out her post today to see her selections and the list of links to all the other participating bloggers.
